Thermal scanning of warehouses and storage equipment

A reliable and modern way of diagnosing the thermal insulation status of industrial refrigerators for warehouses and storages is a non-destructive thermovision inspection of the equipment with obtaining reliable information in the form of visual and analytical information. The procedure is applicable for stationary cooling units as well as for mobile refrigerators on rail or automobile chassis. The service allows to reveal defective places of thermal insulation of the enclosing structure of installation and prolong its service life.

Equipment exposed to thermovision inspection diagnostics

"Regional Energy Efficiency Office" conducts thermovision diagnostics of a wide range of cooling equipment:

  • Deep freezing freezers for long-term storage of foodstuffs – semi-finished products, meat, fish;
  • Refrigerating units of gastronomic warehouses for storage of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, poultry, gastronomy;
  • Vegetable storage;
  • Special purpose refrigeration equipment for storing flowers, perfumes, medicines, chemicals, ripening of citrus and bananas.

Methods of examination and search of defects

The thermovision inspection of the equipment is carried out with the help of high precision equipment manufactured in Japan and the USA. The technical defects of the refrigeration chamber enclosing structure are identified in 2 directions:

  • Internal survey;
  • External diagnostics.

After scanning the detailed analysis with the issuance of the conclusion is carried out. A detailed map of defects and abnormal zones is created for each site that has been surveyed. In addition, a set of recommendations is being developed to modernize the equipment in order to increase its energy efficiency and extend its service life.

Inspection results

The thermovision inspection of the equipment can provide detailed information on the following defects:

  • Areas with poor insulation of the refrigeration chamber;
  • Worn-out sealing of the doors;
  • Fragments of pipelines with a worn-out insulating layer;
  • Points of additional heat allocation, worsening work of refrigerating units -fans, electric devices.
